I picked up a Batman 66. I noticed when I brought it home that a blue foam piece was missing from the right ramp, right side. I checked out the balls and there was a noticeable scratch indented on one of the balls.
I ordered the parts and received a small metal bracket, Blue foam piece, 2 screws and new pinballs. Turns out the screws ordered (correct part number) were a bit longer. This made the screws come more into the ramp so they could get hit. I tried trimming these screws with a wire cutter but wasnt able to thread them after cutting them. I stopped at the hardware store and picked up the correct length(.25”)just not in black. It wasnt too obvious which fasteners under the playfield for the ramp was so I tried tightening with the ramp left on the playfield, which was hard. After they were somewhat snug, they too came out a little bit into the ramp where the ball could hit it.
These screws would also damage the ball. The other screws for the other foam pieces seem to not come into the ramp space where the ball can hit it. Is there any tricks to get the screw level with the ramp or cut? It seems like the part number for these screws while mentioned in the manual 4-40 x .25”, when looking for the part it seems to only come in 5/16”.
