I am pretty sure I need to replace the C15 (12,000mf 16v) on my Flash. It doesn't have any obvious bulges but I have weird voltages and the DMM AC test shows a quick 4v which is way over the .3v most threads say is correct.

My question, since a 12,000mf 16v capacitor is pretty hard to get, I thought I could wire them in parallel to achieve the desired result.

I thought I could get a 10,000mf 16v: https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Vishay-BC-Components/MAL202115103E3?qs=sGAEpiMZZMu3dWSqd4Tl0IrB%252bE%2fYPbXzX8%252bZe5Xfl4A%3d

and a 2,000mf 16v: https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Cornell-Dubilier-CDE/WBR2000-16A?qs=sGAEpiMZZMu3dWSqd4Tl0C1dQxjcpck%252bK7MLQlpbxWs%3d

both are axial mounted so they will be easy to solder in parallel, that should work shouldn't it?

The exact value isn't important in this case... anything 10k to 15k should work if you can find one. Higher the better

and you can make it 25v rather than 16v

thanks guys! moving to 25v made it easy. There is a axial 15,000uf 25v capacitor for $7. thats what I like!

Not exactly sure where your cap is going but remember a higher voltage cap comes with larger physical footprint as well. Definitely better to move up in voltage if you have the room.

The logic voltage filter cap on the power supply board, I'm assuming

Yeah axial is what triggered my comment.
I must have made that mistake before.
