Replacement Servo and Arm assembly to operate the blinders for Data East Tommy. This is a drop in replacement, no mods required to the mounting bracket in your game. The price is $89.00 Shipped to the USA. International shipping available.

I changed brands from the original servo used to get a stronger gear train, after reading that the original servo had a history of gear train failure. Hitec the maker of the servo I used, said that their Karbonite gears are 4x stronger stronger than the standard white nylon gears. And according to the manufacturer's advertising: "after hundreds of thousands of cycles the gears do not show any signs of wear".

The arm I make is made from 6061-T6 aluminum fitted to a Hitec heavy duty servo arm. The roller assembly is a hardened and ground steel pin with a roller made from glass filled resin. This set up provides a free running operation. Note my arm will not fit the original Airtronics servo.

I tested my servo.arm assembly out in a working game at the Ann Arbor Pinball Museum. The New Servo and Arm works great! Travel adjustments may be required to the servo's movements using the potentiometers on the servo driver board using the "arch" command. In further tests using a Hangar 9 Digital servo current & volt meter. I found the servo I used drew about half the current, than the original servo, while moving the blinders. And one fourth the current while holding the blinders open & closed. My first production arm and servo is now in operation at the Ann Arbor Pinball Museum. The original plastic arm had a crack in it by the pin and roller.
