It really is sad and disappointing that these never materialized.
They really are a much needed improvement for anyone that owns these era of games.
Does anyone have any info on what happened? Was it the costs?
What would it take to get this project back on track? What's the latest?
While I think its great that more horse shoe contacts are available, that's not what this thread is all about.
I'm looking for a replacement of this design. Something more reliable and maybe uses leaf switches (like System 7's) or that uses micro switches.
If I was in a pinch and / or something broke on my existing drop targets then I would be happy to purchase these newly made horseshoe contacts. But ultimately, I want something better - and that's what was proposed with this thread originally more than 2 years ago.
It's now been almost 3 weeks since we were "checking in" with Steve and only crickets to report.
What gives? If this project isn't going to happen, I feel like it's not asking too much to admit it and put this entire concept to rest so that I can move on and begin to find an alternative to the current setup.
Just wondering what the latest is with this. Does anyone care anymore? Did any product ever materialize?
