So I'm doing some work on my Jurassic Park and I'm just about done and I turn to grab a tool and drop the playfield...ouch.
The ball trough switches landed right on the lock bar and sheared the far left one in half and snapped the leads on the next one.

So I look it up and get the part no. on the swtiches 180-5119-00 and end up ordering two 5647-12693-06 from Marcos as they are listed as a replacement.
I put them in, wire them up and confirm in switch test they work.

Problem is the balls does not get past these two switch rollers and bind up in the trough. It feels like they are JUST tight enough to keep the ball from rolling smooth to the end. The old switch rollers are slightly smaller and looser so there is no problem. You can see in the pic that the far left two balls are aren't activating properly. There isn't a whole lot to adjust on this. Can the be made to work or should I find two actual 180-5119-00's and just swap them again?

Thanks!

There are usually three kinds. Easy push ( which might not be made any more ) medium push - will work, and hard push - which won't work.

Part numbers might be the same.

Try a different vendor. Like Pinball Life.

So I found 180-5119-02 switches at PinballLife. While the first switches were supposed to be compatible these are a direct updated replacement. Swapped them in and now works perfect. Guess I’ll have to be more careful when choosing replacement parts ‘that can be used in place of’. Thanks.
