Not recommended, IMO. That is a digital circuit you are introducing to an analog switch signal. It is expecting to see:
(Flipper button at rest)----------------(Flipper button pressed)_____________ This represents a clean transition from HI to LO, or vise versa.
With leafs, you get /\/--_\/\-/\_/-\\/_-\/\-/\\_\-//-/\ which causes erratic operation.
