So I had this game shipped to me and STI attacked it with a forklift by the look of it. Working on the claim process but not feeling optimistic... in the interim any suggestions on repairing?

In the interim play it, no need to go to the trouble of a major repair like that for what could be a short period.
Its obvious the panel needs replacement and re-painted, be a good time to trace/photograph the color scheme if decals are not available.
I have repaired panels like this with Cabosil/ Epoxy/wood flour mixtures but it was only because the Owner wanted to keep some measure of originality in an Historic Piece. It is tedious, time consuming and requires a lot of specialized clamps and magnets, plus skill with Epoxy mixtures/applications.

I might suggest not doing anything till your claim with the shipper is complete. Never know what they may need or who may have to come see the damage (again) to make sure all is on the up and up if you know what I mean.

Think the previous poster made a good suggestion. Trace out the graphics as best as you can for now, wait till your claim is processed and then go about the process of replacing the panel. This does not look that difficult provided you take your tune, take lots of pictures and commit to making it a great job without any shortcuts.
