Removing spring from flipper button

I got some new flipper buttons for my ACDC because one broke. The new buttons have springs in them, the originals don't. With the springs they are way too stiff, is there a way to open them to remove the spring?

NM I figured it out. Hit the back of it to knock it loose.

Curious how you got this to work. The springs seem lower quality on new flipper buttons and I’m trying to swap them out.
