Hi,
I am going to try a mod on my X-Files, but it would be an easier effort if I can remove the whole "back plate" on the playfield.
Does any body have experience doing this? Is it glue/screws etc holding it in place?

Have had the backboard off on my Roadshow and Dirty Harry to install decals. Both were screwed to the playfield, no glue or anything weird. Can't say for X-Files or other Segas.
Thanks, will have to check closer this week
Have been delaying the back lighting of the FBI badges for way too long. More action, less thoughts
they are usually just screwed on but can sometimes have support brackets on the inside corners. You should be able to feel or see if there are any t-nuts on the back of the back board.
Yeah, it would be stupid not too. Its just that its amazing how unpractical some developers make their stuff just to be "different", instead of going with that works .)
Screws, yes. Glue, probably not. Never seen it.
Usually screws from the bottom through playfield and also whatever is attached to the backplane (and the brackets of course)
