Push the removal tool onto the connector, but also push the connector up into the removal tool by shoving on the wire or shoving it up into the removal tool with a small screwdriver. Then slightly wiggle the removal tool around in a circle while pressing up on the connector. That will help make sure the tool bends down the little "wings" so that when you then press down on the removal tool the connector doesn't get hung up on the connector body. Once I started doing this 0.093 replacement got a LOT easier and quicker.
