If you don't like the Pinside responses that you get, maybe you should not have asked the question in the first place.
I don't typically remove previous jumpers and cuts unless it's neccesary. Someone likely added the wires for redundancy and I have seen the traces in question abruptly go open due to stress. I would leave them and move on to more important bulletproofing tasks or internet forums.
