I'm actually doing the exact same thing to my Genesis now! It's funny that you posted this about a week ago. I was too unsure about the connected lamp wire situation. Thank god for pin side! Where is a good spot to cut the wires? Would I need to get some new wires in addition to a new lamp socket? What's the deal with the 3 wires going up to the light socket? Do all these just get connected at the same spot?
