Problem is anyone can have animals but actually caring for them is another matter. Some people just toss them some food and sometimes water besides the toilet and call it good.

Since it hasn't (hopefully) been directly targeted by animals an ozone generator can work wonders. Give it a few days with one running and you might be golden.
