Just picked up a used, but modern, Stern machine that has a feature that tosses the ball forcefully a spot near the pop bumpers. Factory mylar is present, but a previous owner added an adhesive felt disc at the spot where the ball tends to land.

I'd like to remove the adhesive felt disc without risking damage to the mylar around and underneath. Freezing via canned air seems likely to disrupt the mylar. What's a better option? Heat gun? Plastic scraper?

    Advice not gospel:
I would try some goo gone if it were mine.
Work it under an edge an see if it will free up the felt.
I have done the freeze on mylar and it works great. But frozen is frozen and you will lift the felt but i agree you will loosen the mylar as well.
