First underneath the playfield unsolder the light socket. Next, lift or pull out the staples holding the light socket. Straighten the light socket leads.
Now go to the topside of playfield. Pop off the bumper cap. Remove the two screws inside the bumper body and pull the whole works straight up off the playfield. If you are also replacing the bumper skirt, remember "dead" bumpers use a 4 hole skirt NOT 6 holes.
