The three pop bumper caps on my Riverboat Gambler have seen better days but the decals on them are still in good shape. Does anyone have a method for removing decals from plastic parts without damaging them or the printing on them? I've used stuff like Goo Gone in the past but that was for decals I would be replacing entirely, and it also seems to soak into and discolor them.

I have reused a few decals in the past with good results. I use a heat gun and lightly heat the piece and it will usually come off. To much heat and they will melt or stretch so be careful. This is just for peel and stick types.

I did this on a hook ramp I replaced a while back. I used my finger nail to get up enough of the corner to get a decent grip on the decal then very very slowly pealed it off the ramp then I put it back on using a few tiny drops of super glue just to keep it tacked down as most of the glue was still there. My guess is not the best way but I was happy with the results.

I've had good luck using naptha to dissolve the glue on ramp decals, then 3M spray adhesive to reattach. Also seen people recommend 2 sided clear tape
