Can/have you contacted the administrator about removing these locations?

I would think the administrator would be able to delete if you had submitted the request(2 weeks is too long IMO). I agree, if you know there are several that are in your area that are incorrect, it would not promote confidence when looking for others when travelling.
I have called places to double check before going over. An added step though.....

I agree with your point not having the admin get involved....but I think that's currently the state that it's in. Would be a nice addition.
