Quoted from pintechev:I use the remote battery holders that Rob sells on his site with a very long cord. The batteries sit on the cash box
I really like this idea. How can I make, or where can I get one with a long cord?

I have Williams games. From what I've read:
Memory capacitor
Loses charge over time if machine not powered up
Nvram
Requires desolder for removal of existing chip
Remote battery holder
Requires diode to prevent charge to batteries
I'd prefer nvram, if it weren't for the board work.
Can someone send a picture or diagram of the diode on a remote battery holder? I just got a 3AA holder on ebay and it came with diode separately. I'm confused on where that would go on a 3 battery holder.
