Thats a fancy one, I remember the earlier Bell Boy that had no display. It only beeped or vibrated depending how you had the switch set (off was the 3rd setting). When it beeped, you called a number to get your message.
I had a beeper once. I found it some where and used it as a timepiece.
Beepers were great. Here's what we did, we called the dealer and put in the phone number we were calling from (no cells then), * our ID number * how many 1/8s we needed; delivered with a smile.
I had a beeper for my job exactly like the one in the photo.
I hated that thing, cause it was always going off which meant that I had to go to work.
No cell phones required...
Sometimes, I wanted to put that beeper in the toilet.
Now, that applies to the cell phones..
It beeps, vibrates and has all kinds of special ring tones...
It even has a GPS thing so people can tell where the phone is...
Sometimes technology is NOT your friend..
