Oh boy yes. Using Kermit, picking the protocol and logging onto you local OPUS or ProCom BBS. Sure we had X-modem and Y-modem. But when Z-modem came out we felt we entered the space age. Now when [not if] you lost connection during a file download it would pick up where you left off.
How about punching a hole in the corner of a 720 KB 3.5" floppy so you fake it as high density and can fit 1.44 MB.
