How many days did you have to hold the game for? If it’s less than a week, I’d refund him the deposit. If it’s several weeks or more, you should be entitled to keep it since you pulled the game from the market and may have lost a sale elsewhere. Buyer should understand that.

To me, a week is no big deal if someone wants a refund, life’s too short to argue about petty things like a $100-200 deposit. If you start going beyond a week or so, then the issue of lost sales starts to become more of an issue, to me.

Fine to keep any money for expenses incurred. What can I say, it’s good karma to give the rest back and move on, assuming it was just a few days. I’m either being too nice or stupid, probably the latter.
