LG has had years of issues with compressors. They were using compressors with plastic internal gears that were failing very rapidly. They went through about 15-20 iterations of compressors before landing on this current generation. However in order to get everything working again, the main PCB must be software flashed to make it accept the new compressor. Otherwise failure occurs again within 2 weeks.
