Quoted from Mopar:

On a Bally Wizard that I totally went through, the pops and slings were still very weak, so I
did some unwinding, and it made a huge difference. However, a couple times I tried the same
thing on Gottliebs, and it was a waste of time. It made no difference at all. Replacing the coils
did the trick..

Interesting. I had a weak outhole kicker on my Williams Space Mission. Cleaning all the contacts and making sure all mechanical parts were functioning right made no difference. It sometimes took 4-5 kicks to make it to the shooter lane.

The only thing that worked was taking 2 layers of wire off the kicker coil. Now it kicks powerfully but not too hard into the shooter lane every time. Wish I would have done this before.

After reading your post, I’m going to see if coil unwinding makes any difference on my Gottlieb Flip a Card slings, which are a little weak.
