Quoted from dluth:

How do I get to it without unwinding the whole thing? Any trick to it?

The last coil I had where the inside wire was broken was a 110V coil, so I rewound it
since I have wire for 110V. On yours, the best bet is just to replace the coil, or is it
an odd ball coil?

Quoted from currieddog:

Taking windings off was a PITA and I couldn't tell the difference.

On a Bally Wizard that I totally went through, the pops and slings were still very weak, so I
did some unwinding, and it made a huge difference. However, a couple times I tried the same
thing on Gottliebs, and it was a waste of time. It made no difference at all. Replacing the coils
did the trick..
