Quick question about a replacement Rectifier Board.

At the bottom right corner (as you look at it) is a screw terminal labeled ground:

Nothing is mentioned about it with included directions, but should I add a small length of wire from the ground terminal to a grounding point (where the cabinet harness/transformer grounds are located)?

I believe the original rectifier had bolts securing it to the metal plate thru the rectifiers (and thus grounding?) where as the replacement is only supported by the snap locks.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, the the ground to your braid with a short length of wire and ring terminals. Make sure your three prong plug is intact and all braid connections are intact (coin door, siderails, etc...) This grounding is important for safety.

Safety First!

Thank You. Was thinking I should address this before plugging in/testing the new rectifier for the first time. I appreciate the quick reply.

That rectifier board's ground is an alternate (optional) connecting point for the high current "E8" ground connection.
Interesting that that board's maker didn't show this on the schematics.

Thanks for all the replies.
Extra ground wire added (in addition to E8) from the rectifier ground post over to the braid under the power switch (white wire, did not have any green available).
