But guys, he is a HUGE Tron fan! This is a dream of his! Can't you see that he has been working his butt off for this! And he isn't dying of cancer! Just make this guy's dream come true.

So other than the secret Tron door, what are your plans for turning your basement into Flynn's? What will be behind the door? You can't have the second story office windows overlooking the arcade. It doesn't look like you have enough room for the pool table and all of the other games. I don't believe there are any 2010's LE pins in Flynn's so you'll have to sell those and buy a bunch of 80's arcade classics. Is this going in a warehouse district downtown and will be open to the public? Denver already has a great downtown arcade with 1-up.

I get it. You thought "all of these dudes on Pinside have dreams of cool home arcades and plenty of disposable income. I'll just ask them for the cash!" The thing is, guys with a lot of money have that money because they aren't idiots and if they are going to part with it for a dream project, it will be their own (or more likely their wife's).

He’s not making them anymore.

Quoted from Waldo:

I’m a huge Tron fan and I always hoped one day to re-create a Flynn’s Arcade in a basement man cave, complete with Secret Door entrance.
The project has gone way over budget so on a whim a friend said I should start a go fund me page for it. So here is my go fund me page. Obviously there are much more important campaigns out there you could contribute to, but I thought maybe some other Tron fans / old school arcade fans would love to see this through and heck hopefully stop by to play someday!
https://www.gofundme.com/flynns-classic-tron-arcade

waldo two questions:

1.What are the tiers of donations, and awards? Does someone get 24/7 key access to the basement arcade if they donate $5,000 for example?

2. Is this a ‘All or nothing’ project that will only be funded if it reaches its $75K goal? Or do any funds accrued go to pay for your basement arcade?

Any updates? Or answers to my queries?

Dude, he is not going to respond to this thread anymore. I'm sure he's embarrassed.

Also why do you care enough about your "queries" to bump the thread again. Just let it go.

hey thanks to jones I was able to read about this absolutely ridiculous request from the OP. You think you've seen it all and then this thread pops up. Holy ___balls. OP - is this go fund me.com or go tell me to go __ myself.com? Sorry - but this is beyond crazy - it's actually offensive. Sell your expensive pins and stop taking money from others.

Again, this has to be dark humor. It's played very straight, but it's troll bait.

I’m curious. I suppose I care as much as anyone else here posting about Pinball games on the internet would care. It’s one of the more amusing threads.

Happy to accommodate! Hilarious right? One can imagine the OP creating this topic, going to bed, dreaming about money rolling in for Flynn’s arcade, and waking up to this miscalibration. I wish the topic creator well, but it does come across a bit tone deaf.

You can have the arcade, I'm startin' a gofundme to recreate that supercollider lab.

I find the best way to make extra money is to work for it. I am not sending money to this campaign to teach a basic life lesson, and set the op up for long term success in life.

Did the OP disappear? Is this just a troll thread?

Where's Waldo?

That’s not how you do it, you announce you’re building a limited run pinball with a very desirable theme, then you take all the preorder money and build your Flynn’s arcade.

THEN you announce a second game with no actual playfield design but some basic playfield art. Maybe you create a cabinet or two with said art. If you pull the wool over two companies and then find a sugar daddy who’s looking to stash some cash as a tax writeoff, because “Pinball is easy” you’re home free!! Let’s just hope jPop’s new benefactors aren’t wiseguys..

Looks like the strategy. I see some Flynn on the horizon
