Sometimes the stock coil is too strong or weak for a location so I put in a new coil. Too strong and plastics break. Too weak and game plays slow or shots can’t be made.
Upper flipper on meteor is an example of a coil that does not need to be powerful at all. Another is Batman forever had a flipper coil too weak to make the ramp once the coil warmed up. But often, it was just what the op had on hand imo.
