Hey! Anyone got a Recel Top Speed up and running? I got a couple questions about wiring and need some close up photos on how to fit new rubber details. Also there should be three captured balls on the playfield, and I wonder what keeps them from popping down. If You got one of these or know someone who does, plz get back to me! Best, from Sweden, //Teo

Hi Teo
ipdb here https://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=2590 says that "Top Racer" is the Single-Player Version of Your pin: https://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=2587 good pictures on these captive ball areas - maybe the metal plates are mounted like the plate on a chime (Xylophon) is mounted: A little rubber.
Questions about wiring - here https://pinside.com/pinball/machine/top-speed scroll all the way down - the schematics in four pieces we can download - I did this in 2016 and I then have put together the pieces as a JPG, 2MB data and then as a PDF, 1MB data.
You may want to use the pinside parts (schematics) or send me an personal message in pinside with Your EMail-Address so I can send You "my work". The pinside parts are of reasonable quality - only four pieces is also quite good.
Want to ask Your questions about wiring (?). Greetings Rolf

Owned one of these years ago. Got it as a non working project.

Correct that the 3 captive are held in with metal brackets.

I finally got one up and running... Not fun... Many headaches.
The encapsulated trip bank assembly is not service friendly!
I too need the metal ball capture plates in order to get the game done and finished.
I had a good machinist modify a Gottlieb part in order to make it fit the metricly designed player advance assembly.
Note: I used a Gottlieb backing blade that is used on the E.O.S. switch to add extra tension to the carryover switch of the 10 step advance unit for the bonus feature.
Know the primary bonus advances every time you complete the sequence.
