Got mine working last night. I'd soldered the XSMT pin and muted the DAC, Doh!

Quoted from BENETNATH:

Calling them thieves seems a bit.. rude.
They developed a high quality product with a brand. I'd say that Steve was also playing a bit when calling his product.
Anyway, everybody can do his choice.
Pinsound is a wonderful device, for pinball fans. It's plug and play and HQ.
Tilt audio is a DIY cheap solution, fun to setup but personally, I did not manage to have any working setup, whatever the config (wms, whitestar). I reached each time a "nearly good level" but not sufficient to remove the original sound card.
My 2 cents

What part did you stumble at? I have a fully working one in Frankenstein.

No worries.

Anything i can help with?

#1032 4 years ago

I run mine on v1.27, 1.29 nags me about registration.

I think most of the problems are from user error it's not a project for the novice of soldering or Linux.

First to hold my hand up with the soldering I muted the DAC.

What bugs are you seeing?

I made the mistake soldering all the pins. I'll take a photo of mine later on today.

Quoted from Magiske:

Getting the sound from the jack works 100%. So something is interfering with the Amp's. I will try to build a new board and see if that fixes it.

Can you take a picture of the pcb I think I might know what's wrong here.

#1164 3 years ago

I can see your problem straight away you've soldered everything on the amp.

#1166 3 years ago

Don't worry I hadn't forgotten about you, I'd miss placed my keys to Frankenstein.

It's the first four only:

LOUT
GND
ROUT
GND

De-solder the rest on that row.

How does it sound without the headphones and just using the speakers on the pinball?
