Interesting to skim the latest Alien threads with this perspective in mind. Everyone seems to have agendas from a hopeful optimism to just wanting to play in a shitbox.

That is a conundrum. Sounds like you are a bit undecided now. If you want your money back, do nothing. I don't believe they would contest it with Discover.
If you want to stay in it may be up to you to contact Discover immediately and tell them you changed your mind. If discover won't let you "stay in" since you made the charge back refund request maybe you can ask the owner group to contest it in your case which might force Discover to leave it be?
From what you learned with your latest correspondence with the new owner group, sounds like they have an actual plan for their success.

So refund the money and then punish us with a price increase when they get their crap together? Yeah, that will gain my business back.
If people asked for their money back they should get it now. And it sounds like that's what's about to happen across the board.
The new owner group has fairly announced a small price increase. If people are wanting a refund they now know of the price increase. So they can choose to accept their money back or stay in.
Seems pretty straightforward and fair at this point to me.

It's really not a big deal. I wouldn't personally tackle pulling off that drudgery. But I know at least a dozen young nerds that would do it for a Wonder Woman figurine or a nice comic book.
