Good.

Hopefully customer service will improve. I have been waiting for a parts quote for 3 weeks.

Quoted from SunKing:

I have been emailing with Helmut, and to his credit he usually does reply promply.

He does? Lucky you I guess.

Edit: I have no skin in Alien, although Alien is why I purchased my previously owned FT. The Alien series is one of my wife's favorite franchises and I figured she would love to have an Alien pin. But my experiences in trying to acquire spare parts for my FT made the prospect of buying an Alien kit dim considerably.

Besides fixing Alien and getting production up and running, the real measure of the success of the "new" HP will be how they respond to servicing games already produced. You know, basic pinball company stuff.

Things like:
Generating a manual for a game that has been out for what? 2 years?
Actually answering customer support emails in a timely fashion.
Having parts in stock to service/repair machines
Etc...

Quoted from RandomGuyOffCL:

How bout instead you go ask these cash money guys to come into the thread and interact with us instead of letting this thing go off the rails for 13 pages...

It's extremely likely they cannot divulge more information than they already have due to legal reasons.

It's equally likely that some information will not get divulged at all due to business reasons regardless of legal consequences.

The best thing to do is simply be patient and wait to see what happens.

I am aware this is easier said then done - especially since I have no skin in Alien - yet.

However I do have interest in seeing HP succeed as I do own FT and would like to buy some parts for it. How the "new" HP services existing customers will determine - for me at least - commitment to Alien.

They can start by doing something all other pinball manufacturers do which is create a manual. Without a manual there are no part numbers to use to order parts. Along with of course the rest of the information generally included in a manual to help owners troubleshoot issues.

I would assume the new investors are monitoring this thread to get a feel for the attitudes among their customer base. For those readers I can unequivocally state that I will only entertain the possibility of purchasing Alien - or any future HP game - when the ability to supply parts to existing customers has been established.

I thought I'd check out the Homepin website, it made Heighway's website look world class.

Funny.. I did too... And it's broken. Nothing seems to load right.

Quoted from Oldgoat:

Are you trying to view it on a PC with an LCD/LED or a DMD-based display?

Yes.. Why?

Quoted from Oldgoat:

It was my attempt at a bit of humor given the derailing that took place. I admit it was not nice and for this I ask forgiveness from Robin, moderators and Homepin.

Oh got it.. I completely missed the joke. My bad.
