Chicago Coin Hollywood. Motor rotates 1/3 revolution per each time it moves. So it can be in 3 possible resting positions. In 2 of those 3 positions the start button works but in 1 of those 3 positions it doesn't! I figure it has to be a motor switch right? There are no missing pieces on any of the cams. Can anybody help me out?

Hi Rolf!

Jumpered A4 and no change.
Jumpered brown to blue and no change.
Jumpered brown to gray and no change.

So weird that only one motor position gives this issue...

What should I try next?

When motor is in its faulty position nothing happens at all. I press start and absolutely nothing happens. Motor won't turn and no relays pull in.

If I turn motor 1/3 revolution then I press start everything works perfectly.

In 2 out of 3 resting positions for the motor the start button will start the game.

In 1 of 3 resting positions the start button does nothing.

Very confusing.

Hi crujones4life
back to the JPG in post-2. See the Credit-Reset-Relay pulling in when You have the pin in one of the "good" positions --- see it pulling in. Then set the pin to "no good" position, use a wooden stick and press the armature of the Credit-Reset-Relay (You simulate: Relay is pulling in) - question: Does this makes the pin to start a new game ? Greetings Rolf

Yes. Doing as you said will start a game when motor is in bad position.

Hi crujones4life
hmm, please do not get angry - the permanent jumper I suggested in post-2 (brown point to grey point) - did You set the jumper-wire correct ? Credit-Button-Switch side "wire-color-orange-white" jumpering permanent to "COIL on Credit-Reset-Relay - side wire-color-green-red" ?
If the problem does not dissapear: I do have to look all over the schematics in search of "a general switch cutting power to many things". Greetings Rolf

Definitely not angry...lol. I appreciate you taking the time to help me very much. I am sure I did it right but I will try again.

Hi crujones4life
hmm - maybe I first should have a good look at the schematics - then writing a post ... see here in the JPG: Score-Motor-Switch-C5 nay be faulty. Greetings Rolf

I thought I checked C5 but I will check again and report back. Will be a little later this afternoon or evening. Getting ready to go take some family pictures. Thanks!
