I consider GOTLE to be a strong-female-themed pin. Daenerys Targaryen owns the dragons, and the dragons make the game. Also, half of the callouts were done by a woman.
Quoted from gdonovan:Women generally love Game of Thrones, excellent example.
also, Stranger Things...definitely has a female at the center of the game.
I think Stern and JJP have both done a decent job overall of building inclusive titles. Lots of examples already mentioned in this thread. The secret recipe is strong female lead + explosions, fire, sci-fi or horror (GOT, STh). Or rock bands that appeal to men and women equally (AS, LZ, GNR).
Quoted from gdonovan:We do cover them up when not in use, I tried to get dark curtains but she nixed the idea.
I asked my wife if I could just spray-paint the window black, then the blackout curtain became HER idea. Always think ahead one move...
I want a Barbarella pin just so I can beat Duran Duran in the wizard mode. “Blow Up the Excessive Machine!”
Quoted from TreyBo69:Wrong about what? Time in linear and I’m younger than most of the farts in this thread by decades.
Oh good, let’s morph this into an ageism thread. /s
Underworld and Resident Evil always seemed like perfect pin licenses to me, and TBH I was disappointed when Stern’s first zombie game was TWD (though I love it now). Kate Beckinsale and Milla Jovovich are huge action heros, and it’s weird not to see them represented. I blame the Stern/Marvel/Disney corporate incest for that. [Edit: on second thought I blame the license holders, because Stern’s not stupid]
[Edit 2: I’m self aware enough to realize that not many women are interested in these themes]
Quoted from MegaFeenix:(I am a man that likes a lot of female targeted media.).
Wait what??
I’m also guilty of this. I loved the new movie about Billie Eilish and her brother. I listen to Shawn Colvin.
Still...you couldn’t find a female friend who likes pinball to start this thread on the good foot?
Quoted from pinballcorpse:However, in the spirit of the thread, SOF just could not be a "female theme", though. I mean LIONWOMAN just doesn't sound right
Quoted from greenhornet:stern is targeting women big time
with their upcoming release
THE MANDY-LORI-ANNE
Did someone say MANDY?
