Quoted from dashv:

My wife says these are some themes that would be shut up and take her money:
Marvel Women of Power (zen did a virtual table)
Princess Bride
Labyrinth
Phantom of the Opera (a new one)
Beauty and the Beast (Disney)
Y’all telling me a Wonder Woman, Princess Bride or WandaVision pin doesn’t have the potential to be amaze balls?
.

I would be first in line for a Princess Bride machine. I can't believe it has not been done and would love to see JJP pull it off! That movie is an all time classic and the possibilities for that game would be inconceivable!
I think men and women would love it.

Yeah, my wife might even play a game or 2 of that one.

Best the Giant.
Defeat the Spaniard.
Win the battle of wits
Survive the fireswamp!
And finally storm the castle!

The "Iron Maidens" ..actual all Female band.

Quoted from vid1900:

I'm thumbs upping you for pointing out that ladies love porn.
My neighbor owns maybe the last video rental store in the world, and always points out that women rent 40% of the adult titles.
Most popular genera for female rentals? Black Man/White Woman

Old spice? Wouldn't be too bad.

Barbi is more relevant than ever, I knew it! Still make Sailor Moon or Golden Girls first though.

Barbie would never sell enough to make the license worth the effort. The popularity has already faded and there are not nearly enough pinball players who target hat demographic.

Don’t let Vid hear this!

#359 10 months ago

Barbie would be a great theme. I hope someone makes a custom game

#360 10 months ago

No exaggeration, I've seen at least a dozen people say that their wife/gf is making them buy a Labyrinth pinball machine. I guess David Bowie and Jim Henson puppets is the ultimate theme for the ladies?

Not actually facts.

Well that clears thing up. I stand corrected.

According to my wife, women dont like superhero movies. Her favorite action movie all time is face of, even though she thinks die hard(the first) works.

People mention action movies with female protagonists, but that doesnt make them work for ladies. Not many ladies like resident evil or the last crappy road warrior.

My wife loves movies as erin brochowich, fried green tomatoes.

I think she would be super all in on friends, abba movies, vaiana, entangled or frost. Which also would work as pinball machines.

If you really want an action movie that might work for girls/ladies and still do it for guys, i´d be looking at alita Battle angel.
You get the action, but still growing up, finding out who you are, falling in love.....(girl stuff)

She liked both releases of labyrinth and elton john, but both of thoose comes with enormous price tags here in sweden.

My two daughters favorite games are jurassic park(stern) and wonka.

Because we were all clamoring for a Godzilla pin? Make a game worth selling and theme matters less.

It’s weird that people still don’t understand that Godzilla has been an extremely popular evergreen theme worldwide for decades.

So has Barbie, and the movie’s cultural moment has made it cool for guys, too. I saw tons of men & boys dressed as Kens for Halloween.

Taylor Swift. TAF drops to #2 within 10 secs of the announcement.

A Taylor pin would be insane. Screw Barbie, Taylor Swift would be ran for years and years and sales would never dip.
Stern could plan for 50,000 units and still sell
out.

I've tried listening to taylor swift, isn't that like for 12-15 yrs old girls?

Are there really any grown up women listening to that?

She has one of the most insane fan bases, perhaps only rivaled by K-Pop people. Google her Eras Tour. She is ridiculously popular with all ages.

#370 10 months ago

Heck, Taylor Swift the Eras tour.. bam, pin idea done.

#371 10 months ago

Just saw the original post. I do think Kill Bill would be a great theme for pinball. I know a few custom Kill Bill games were made but I think a mass produced version from one of the manufacturers could be really cool.

The title of this thread has me reminiscing about a SNL skit

Real Talk-female oriented pinballs

Let's talk about that on-Coffee Talk(talk amongst yourselves)

I don't think you should just dismiss things with cross appeal.in fact Golden Girls is just plain a hilarious show that appeals to anyone with a sense of humor. Though with Betty White's passing you lost out on a call out machine.

Back when SNL was still funny.

Cross appealing themes is what you have to go for and also what inspired this thread to begin with. It would be more interesting than some of the half baked boy oriented or family themes we get.

Venom is one of these kinda lame themes but so is Godzilla, as well as Deadpool. Gameplay will always come first as important as theme can be.

#378 10 months ago

Kill Bill. Dream theme for wife and I. Probably the only theme I can think of that would be as such.

#379 10 months ago

I'd get Kill Bill so fast too. Might be the first NIB game I buy.

It's really set up for it too, each mode could be based on the fights with each of Bill's henchmen, maybe a mode for training with Pai Mei and getting your Hatori Hanzo sword and then the final fight to Kill Bill and get your daughter back. The music would fit perfectly too. I'm kind of amazed it hasn't been done yet.

#380 10 months ago

So I see People mentioning Barbie and Taylor Swift as options.Im not interested in either but I thought I would ask my Grandkids which they would rather Play. The Girl said Taylor Swift hands Down and the Boy said anything else. They are twins so same age (9).Godzilla is their favorite in My collection.

#381 10 months ago

Taylor Swift, Harry Styles
From a marketing sales perspective..Taylor Swift

#382 10 months ago

Draw in female players with Harry Syles or Lady GaGa?

#383 10 months ago

Like I get people want everything now and it's been stated by some that there is 0 interest from the taylor camp about a pin license right now. But gosh darnit they made a Roy Clark pin and I just don't see this never happening, it just won't happen for another 10 years.

And let’s look at that game to the right. If I’m not mistaken Black Rose is Queen of the high seas!

Look at Bally trailblazing in 1992

It's got it all. Awesome tunes. Epic fight scenes. And Ramona Flowers kicking ass. So hot.
