Real knocker Tron and Star Trek Pro

Anyone installed a real knocker in a Star Trek Pro. I followed all the directions to build one using the step up board, have the correct power to the coil, made the changes in settings but it will not fire. http://www.home.earthlink.net/~pinball_stuff/knocker.htm
In testing I get the screech, and if I test it 6-7 times the coil will start to fire but not in game play and only in test when testing 6-7 times. I was going to make one for my tron, not sure if tron is different or not? Any suggestions?

Also, anyone used the new Stern step up driver that also requires a 20V lead? Where did you get the 20V from? Thanks
