It could be that the screening on the playfield is not perfectly centered.

Quoted from Thrillhouse:I was planning on doing a proper announcement next week with better unwashed out pics but I guess the cat is out of the bag. I wasn't planning on cpr (or anyone else) doing these. I've been working on Stars and a few other titles for the past 12 months or so. Here's a couple teasers. I'll be updating my pics shortly, the blue is much deeper in real life and looks very washed out on the site. Thank you kickabit and everyone else for your support.

The playfield looks amazing. Your oranges are spot on.
I see the playfield is dimpled. Are you going to be placing a dimple for the center flipper post, or are you expecting the user to measure and still after making the final flipper placement?
Quoted from Xtraball:Fantastic! Is it as easy as just hooking up to each star’s lamp socket or is a diode or something else needed?
This was a simple install. I just placed 2 star post light boards on either side of the star stand-up, and fed the wires down behind the stand-up. I then soldered both star post LED wires together to the star insert right infront of the stand-up. No diode/resistor was needed.
A couple things of note. I used purple color LED for the pinkish red star. The Yellow and orange are dimmer than the other colors (common for those colors in LED). I had thought about trying the warm white in place of the yellow to see how it looks, but have not ordered the leds yet. It adds a nice color pop to the playfield that you don't notice until you drain and all the starts reset.
These are the star post lights I used: https://www.pinballlife.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=abl_SP
