Hello All,

I have a PoTC I was trying to update the game code on and every time the machine gets to step 2 of 2 (program flash) it crashes. I tried two different USB flash drives (would not recognize the first USB flash drive), reformatted the first (FAT32), re-downloading the .bin file from Stern, and even tried putting the .bin file I backed up from the game back on. All failed. Any suggestions? I really hope the CPU board is not bad.

For what it is worth, I did notice that the small green LED in the bottom left of the board (LED 3) begins to flash rapidly when the game gets to step 2 of 2.

Not because I thought it would work, yet I tried one last time with a third, this time older, USB thumb drive and this time it successfully updated. Phew!

I had thought of putting that one thumb drive into the coinbox so it could be used if needed. Who would have thought an old thumb drive would save the day?!

I will keep the fluorescent bulb in mind!
