You'll want to pull everything off the top of the playfield and scan it in, plus take measurements of where all the inserts are - if you're doing an overlay.
Some people just sand it down and paint directly on the playfield.
There should be printers in town who can print directly on glass or plexi to do the backglass. Make sure they can print white and it's suitable for rear lighting.
