So I picked up a Bally Hardbody that had it's backglass stored in a barn. The rest of the game was pretty nice, but the translite and especially, the mirrored backglass were pretty much toast.

I purchased some mirrored window tint and went to town on it. Had to clean the remaining mirror residue off, which was harder than I had expected.

I applied the tint to the clean glass.

Put the old translite under it and trimmed the tint with a straight edge and an exacto.

Pealed the trimmed window tint away.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with the results.

I wasn't sure if it would work or not, but the experiment came out nicely.

I am not sure if you mean dedication by making another pinball machine survive, or dedication for spending so much time on a title that some people do not like very much. ???

BTW, I actually kinda like Hardbody. I think that Rachel McLish is not a bad looking woman, and the game play is actually cool.

I looked, but didn't find any info on someone doing this before, but had to try it. What did I have to lose? There was nothing left on mine except some little flakes on the left and bottom.

This backglass/translite combo was fairly straight forward. Some of the other, more complex, mirrored ones would be quite tricky though.
