Great to see the progress made.
I sadly had no time to update pinball maker as I wanted, sorry for that.
Catching up after plenty of other stuff, so I will follow your updates there.

I finally got back on this project!

I decided to scrap the idea of making a coffee table cabinet. I may do it for another project, but this is the wrong one. I rescued a damaged NBA Fastbreak cabinet from the dump and decided to bring it back to life. I am going to keep it as a test bed so I plan to swap playfields in and out of it. I am content with the cabinet art so no reason to mess with it except to clean it.

My first mod to the cabinet was to add a ball shooter...and I messed it up. I made the mistake of following a plan for a "WPC-Style" virtual pin cabinet and they definitely place the plunger too low, likely to make room for the playfield TV. Anybody have a WPC-95 machine with a ball shooter that can tell me how far it is from the bottom of the cabinet to the bottom of the ball shooter?

Still, the process of lasering an MDF template and routing the cutout went perfectly. I am hoping I am only off by ~1/2" so that the ball shooter body will still cover the hole. I will also add a ball launch button below it for any playfields I put in here without a manual ball shooter.

All of my lighting is going to be RGB on this game, including the front cabinet buttons. I have a Start, 2 coin rejects, and a ball launch button. Rather than buy some special RGB buttons or bulbs, I am using the prewired WS2812 lights that I used for playfield inserts already.

I am using a Data East coin door because 1. It fits, 2. It was cheaper, and 3. it has yellow reject buttons just like the yellow start button. Do not be afraid to use RGB behind a yellow lens. Yes, it does alter the color, particularly those with blue, but it is still far more interesting than a plain bulb.

I am reusing the white plastic bulb holder housings. On the start button, I worked the old bulb contacts out with a small screw driver and inserted the the wired WS2812. To make everything fit better, I removed the redundant 5V and GND wires from the WS2812 so there are only 4 wires total. Reinstalling the switch slightly pinched the wires so nothing even had to be glued in place. The button still works and I splayed out the two ends of the wire to avoid the button plunger foot.

The pictures do not do it justice because it looks great. Blue is muted, but it all still looks good.

I mounted the LEDs in the coin reject bulb holders with a little hot glue to keep them in place. I angled them down a bit to better illuminate the reject buttons.

Are you going to have illuminated flipper buttons?I would be interested to see that.

No illuminated flipper buttons. I just don't really like them. No reason.

Buy some and show me your build converting them to neopixels.

I am going live on Marco Specialties' "PinTech Live" show in a few hours. Join in at 3-5pm Eastern today to check out the CobraPin discussion and ask questions.

I got some more work done on the backbox including segment displays! It is at least starting to look like a pinball machine again.

Wish I could’ve joined but watched through! I love my cobrapin in my League pin. Was nice to see someone mention the two league of legend pins.

Back in November, I finally got Tag Team mounted in the Fastbreak cabinet. I had to play some games to get it to fit right since I am putting a Gottlieb game in a Williams cabinet using Stern hardware.

I lasercut a PETG protector and washers to mount the broken plastic above the TEAM drop target bank.
