The apron cards for JP look terrible. In fact most apron cards look terrible (including, I hate to say it, most of the custom-designed ones as well). The artists responsible for playfield, cabinet and backglass do a far better job on those than whoever typically designs the apron cards.

So I took it upon myself to design my own JP cards. The diagram used on JP's instruction card is ripped from the manual and it's downright horrible. I would have illustrated my own but I didn't think it was helpful enough to have one. So I re-wrote the instructions for clarity (and to reflect the correct rules) while I was at it.

I'm happy to share mine if anyone is interested. My pricing insert is New Zealand-centric, though, but I'd be happy to create other versions if people just let me know what their typical wording and pricing is.

It's a basic design but there's no use in going overboard, they need to complement the game, not try to be cool on their own. The black cards looks very striking blending into the black apron rather than the distracting white original cards. I should take a photo of mine in place.

those look great thanks!!!

I like yours way better than most I see. I like that you plainly explain the rules. I don't care for most cards that list production numbers, designer, etc. Good job!

Thanks guys.

Remember to let me know what the standard pricing and wording is for the US apron cards and I'll make up a PDF with that info and laid up on US Letter paper to ensure it's the correct size when you print it.

You'll notice that I used the word 'credits' instead of 'plays' because I always thought that the word 'plays' is a bit ambiguous whereas 'credits' is technically accurate. When you put a coin in the slot, the 'credits' count on the DMD goes up by the amount specified on this card. Simple. 'Play' can refer to anything: from the entire pinball gaming session (I'm going to play pinball) to a particular series of shots in one ball ("nice play there"). The only time 'play' makes sense is when you earn a replay.

I like the Free Play card idea! However getting this movie still high-resolution enough to print sharply would be the big challenge there.

They're terrific - is it possible you could create a Free Play card please? Just what my JP needs!

Thanks!

Here's a photo of the cards on my JP for context.

I've also attached PDFs of a set of cards containing one instruction set card and three price cards: 50c, 75c, $1; $1, $2; Free Play. One is laid up on US Letter paper, the other is on A4 paper. As long as you print at '100% size' (not 'fit-to-page') it will print at the correct size.

Enjoy

Lovely - thank you.

Looks good accidental. FYI - you spelled dinosaur wrong in the instruction card under tri-ball.

Boom. Good spotting, I'll amend and re-upload

EDIT: Attachments above have been replaced with the corrected versions.

Thanks for the effort. A question though...I downloaded and printed the .pdf. It came out about 1/2 inch too small in the horizontal dimension. I cut along the nicely provided guide marks...

I don't think it's a printer scaling issue.
Anyone else experience this?
