WHY did you have to start this topic, I'm now shopping in Ebay for a vintage RC-10 !

Fantastic!!

I remember the RC10 being the shit back in the day. I remember one year asking for a Turbo Hopper for Xmas. Those things were sold out everywhere.

That looks like a shelf o' fun...

Haha definitely. It went from shelf o’ fun in addition to closet o’ joy and garage o’ planes. No one can ever accuse of me of not fully committing to my hobbies. Haha

Behold the shelf weapon.

Here is my Clod. I have Aluminum Wheels on order to finish it up. Only stock parts will be one plastic gear in each transmission.
I still drive this one. Lots of fun in the snow.

Nice vids!

Not my video, but one of the faster setups. I think the top guy is about to hit 500mph with a twin turbine setup which is just insane. I think they also switch over to flying with goggles at a certain point because it gets so far away so fast. Makes my 200mph seem slow!

#65 2 years ago

500mph??? More like 500kmh or 300mph. Still fast. No idea how you control that with little joysticks.

Utt oh... did we just open Pandora's box with plane and heli's too lol.

Here is a shot of my with my Ziroli P-40 with Sachs 4.2 engine. Flying weight is about 36-37 pounds. I flew her for several years at the Warbirds over Delaware and Ohio events. Then moved heavily into heli's and started selling off most of my fixed wing aircrafts.

Should we open this up to drones/quadcopters too? Any recommendations that won't break the bank?

#68 2 years ago

Thanks!! They were fun to make.

It's far too cold where you live, so you should just get one of those mini quads and torment the animals in the house.

Negative temps never stopped anyone from doing anything here I think it might be fun to fly it downtown and get some views there.

Ok, going to title it everything RC!!

Dug up this topic. These cars are fun as hell!

This is my first since the controllers had one button. It went straight or the button made it go in a circle in reverse.

Threw together a slash for oval racing. Won a heat my first time out! Never raced on dirt before and did not expect oval to be this much fun.

Dirt Oval racing is very under rated. I had a lot of fun as a kid bashing RC-10s around the oval. Its nice to see it has not died out.

I have done some carpet, but this seems like a way more level playing field. Pretty close racing.

#79 11 months ago

I've done all sorts of racing but truly found a love in 1/5 scale 2-stroke gas short cross truck racing, now that's a blast.

Fun night last night. Started first and lead every lap. This is my first year doing this so it was neat to start in front and not have any cars to ram into
