I replaced mine with the same coil as used on the bottom flippers. Shots still require skill, and shooting the upper loop actually returns the ball to the upper flipper, which feels right. Certainly not necessary, but I definitely prefer it. I actually feel like it makes the super jackpot shot more difficult, not easier.
