Hey guys, might be joining the club soon. Looking for mod recommendations. The game I'm getting has incadescents, not sure if I should upgrade to LEDs, LED OCD maybe even? Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Is ledocd easy to install and work with?

Any Thoughts or suggestions on LED'ing RBION?

Quoted from TheLaw:

My thoughts have always been well known, and I DO NOT think RBION is a good candidate for LEDs.
I always like LEDs in inserts in my games, every modern game I own for sure. I Started testing a few side by side and to be honest LEDs didn't look any better or brighter than incadencent, much to my amazement. I think it has to do with RBION has a lot of smaller inserts, so they light up nice.
Anyway, test a few out before dropping monies if you don't need to.

Actually, i agree with you on this title for Incandescents vs LEDs. I play in the dark and played RBION all weekend. And while my GOT is brighter than the sun, i had no problems playing or following RBION with incadescents. i'll wait awhile before i decide and maybe do it subtly overtime if needed.

Quoted from GorillaBiscuits:

Mine also came with LED's. Both RBION and TSPP (mine also came with LED's) have CRAZY flicker insert. After slapping an LEDOCD on both they look great now. However, yeah... if you already have incandescents in the inserts, it's up to you if you want to spend the additional money. Maybe just try replacing the GI's with some bright frosted LED's first and add a spotlight or two to brighten things up. You'd definitely save a nice chunk of cash in the process and you'd still have a brighter game.

I think this is really sound advice and the route I'll go. That way I can save all that extra $ for a hopeful color dmd
