Went looking for my first RBION and managed to find this one. Bought it from the original owners daughter, who’s mom got it brand new for the home game room. It was a little dirty but when I wiped the dirt away with some novus 1, it was perfect underneath Put in LEDs, ledocd board, ColorDMD, and working on clear rubbers all around. Really dig this game, glad I went looking for one. The penguins are awesome

The speaker panel looks nice and I’d be in for one. I think it would look better matching the back glass as it would be right next to it and visible from the same angle, yeah?

Quoted from billsfanmd:

you are right. found manual and it says 7/16...that will be tight

Just shopped mine out and indeed some of the listed sizes were waaay tighter than the others.

Are you peeps running the latest code? Mine has 2.04 but I’m planning on upgrading the chips to the 3.2 code on Sterns website as soon as I can.

Quoted from MG7322:

How to you adjust the left scoop so it does not throw the ball down the drain? It is a buzz kill on a fun game. I have loosened the assembly and pivoted a bit but no luck. Friends love the game but everyone does not like the drains action.

Is the machine level? Should go straight down to the left flipper and dead bounce somewhat reliably to the right flipper. Check the level, and past that maybe the angle of the solenoid on the kickout?

I dont have any pictures handy, but I know theres one in my profile gameroom pics. It's a close up of the color/finish. The color doesnt photograph well from afar.

That looks fantastic!

Any of you guys have also a Iron Maiden, how this 2 machine complement?
Regards

Can’t go wrong with an IMDN. Iron Maiden’s multiballs are nice and fast, Ripley’s fees more strategic with the ramps and then the super jackpot shot. Go for it

Awesome man! With that many Ripley’s on location, I wonder which one had the highest high score

Grats on getting a Ripley’s again. I love the theme, totally remember the show on TV as a little kid. It was pretty much the weird side of YouTube before we had YouTube lol

Quoted from TheLaw:

Welcome back!
Now, de-purp that machine

I actually like the purple accents! Have a Pinballbulbs kit to put in and I think it’s the same way. It is begging for a ColorDMD!

Quoted from TheLaw:

Color dmd is needed on every single game its available for end of disussion.

You got it! Finally learned my lesson and started pulling them back out if I ever sell a game (except on Tron). Much easier to sell without trying to recoup that cost, and you know you’re going to want to put it in the next game that will take it anyway!

Also when it comes to must-have mods, I know it’s expensive, but the temple upgrades that back alley creations made look fantastic in Ripleys.
