just bought a rbion and in process of cleaning it up. always wanted one of these machines!

You'll see the scoop and right hand mini post has lost some wood. whats the best / simplest way to prepare and fill the hole? I'm in the UK so which wood filler is best here?

I have a hole protector so that will cover up the worse of this, but i want to fill the gap so the protector has something to rest on. I'll also be adding a large, thinish, washer to the mini posts to spread some of the load on the PF....there's not a lot of wood between them and scoop hole!
