Hi everyone,

I'm trying to make perfect my RBION.

With your help in other threads, I've successfully repaired other things. There are only two other things I would like to correct.

1) There is a scoop which sometimes is sending the ball not so strong, and so the coil has to fire multiple times before the ball go out from the scoop.

I've seen in this video on YouTube:

That the balls always goes out perfectly straight and strong.

In my pinball, it's not so precise. Here's a little video from my pinball:
https://streamable.com/53d8f

How can I solve this?

2) Sometimes the ball get stuck in the upper right part of the playfield, as you can see in the image attached. Should I replace the rubber ring? To do that, is it necessary to remove all the plastics near this rubber?

Thank you

I would take a look at the scoop assembly underneath to make sure installed and aligned properly. Check for any weld breaks in scoop. Make sure component(s) are clean and moving/working smoothly. The top flap(so to speak)of your scoop looks like it’s bent and slightly twisted up on right side. In video it looks like ball is thrown out in air hitting ramp...it shouldn’t. Carefully adjust that which is a matter of CAREFULLY bending.

As far as ball getting stuck the rubber ring looks like it may be to thick/large. Make sure you have right size. If right size and no corrections help, you may have to go a size down. Try just moving/sliding ring around the posts to a different spot. Lastly which most likely won’t come into play, check pitch of game and play field level. Good luck and enjoy!

Thank you very much Cash_Riprock
I’ve just did everything you said, solving all issues!

Unfortunately I’ve created another little issue and can’t understand why.
The LEDs on the back panel are all off. I didn’t have this issue before... maybe I’ve did something wrong on the pinball repairing the other parts...

What should I check?

I want to add a thing about the LED issue.

I've checked the electric diagram but I can't understand what's wrong... F24 fuse seems to be ok, checked it with a multimeter. Checked the fuse holder, it seems ok. The brown-white cable is connected correctly and its connector seems to be ok.

All other lights are working correctly in the pinball.

Any ideas? It was working before yesterday...

Test the other fuses 25,26,27 pull them out and test with meter

Are those normal 5v LEDs? they look a little chunky

Quoted from Cash_Riprock:

Agreed

TheLaw don't know, I've find them on the pinball and there's no text on them, but they were working until yesterday, so LEDs should be ok (you can see a photo I made yesterday below).
I've measured voltage using a meter brown-white wires behind these LEDs and I can track only 0,02V in AC and 0V in DC. Don't know if it's correct to measure voltage there...

About rubber, I've replaced it with the correct one (checked on the manual, it was wrong size) and now it's perfect... Little troubles taking out part of the ramp to replace it but everything ok now.

pinmike Ok, I'll check them, but if one of them is broken, should I have issues on other lights as well?
F24 already tested with a meter pulling it out, same for F27. Need to check F25 and F26, but if other lights are ok I don't think it's a fuse problem...

Can't understand what's wrong

Ok then work your way upstream wires from circuit #1(white/brown) wires
#2(red/yellow)wires
Look for a loose wire and check the wiring on each bulb socket also.

#9 4 years ago

Thank you pinmike

Starting from the lights I can follow the wires until they reach a bigger amount of wires... then it seems they go up to the fuse but I’m not sure of this.

Any hint on exactly how can I follow them?
Until that point cables seem to be strong.

About the wiring on each bulb socket it seems they’re all ok, is there exactly something I have to check?

Why do you suggest to check also #2 (red-yellow) wires?

#10 4 years ago

#2(red/yellow) on the chart you posted has *10* star it’s part of that circuit and it stands for 10 bulbs

#11 4 years ago

Ok there are 10 bulb sockets and they each(wire)connect to each other. If one wire comes off/loose/cold solder ect. On one of those sockets then it breaks continuity.Keep in mind when lift up the playfield it pulls on those wires and the connector

Sure thing, thank you. Glad you got it solved!

The lights? Seems like you’re getting some great help. Only thing I could think of is check to see if you pinched a wire moving/working on pf. Look over where you worked and what you did and see if you can find the scene of the crime! Not on here all the time but will check back and follow. If I can help, I certainly will. Enjoy the game.
