Seeking help to acquire Multiball on RBION. Do I advance to Multiball through under the shrunken head shots? I can advance to lite lock, maybe by coincidence/accident, and I thought I read somewhere that balls were then to be shot to the right ramp? When I do this, it doesn't register a locked ball. Help with the confusion!

Hitting shunkren head till it lights lock. Then the right ramp is lock shot. There is a devirter on the ramp that SHOULD drop the ball in the alley directly left of the shooter lane. If it isn't doing this, that is probably the issue.

You can see here how it should work

The worst part is after you lock two, you then have to shoot the head again to start the multiball, which IMO is not clear at all... I had forgotten this and had to play a few tourney games on RBION...wasn't pretty.

Well the red multiball light is lit on the head at that time

How many lights are in that game again? For all I know the stupid thing was burned out... it was at a location, but as someone that's ever played the actual game like TWICE before that, I wouldn't know to be looking for a stupid red light.

Anyways....that thing was f'ing brutal... multiball wasn't a "start it and win" by any means... it always exited the pops on the LEFT, banged against the area in the mid-playfield, and 95% of the time went out the left outlane, which was completely wide open and no rubbers after making that bounce. Scoop over the left flipper was also kicking out to the center drain about 60% of the time, no chance to save it. I had a score of 19 million on one round, and that was pretty amazing compared to almost every other score I saw on it over 3 days...ugh...

With the lanes open that thing is the devil for sure.

Thanks. When I can start locking balls, should the shrunken head tell me to shoot the right ramp? Also, at what point during the game does the magnet under the shrunken head hold the ball? Still putting games on it but there are still issues. Also the idol magnet doesn't seem to be working OR registering idol hits. I'm guessing opto?

You can also start MB at the left scoop once you have 2 balls locked IF you have Believe It or Not lit (i.e., the light above the left scoop is lit). I actually am mad when I start it this way, because I'd rather use the Believe it Or Not shot during multiball for add a ball (high probability).

By the way, the red light TheLaw was referring to does actually say 'Multiball' on the insert.

Did you play it at the tourney in OKC? The strong propensity for left drains out of the pop bumpers is something I think that one developed recently (during the tournament or when they set up the game for the tournament). Also, I think the left scoop SDTM eject is more like 10-15% IME so you might have been unlucky if you were playing that same one and got 60%. I played it twice during the tournament and saw 0 SDTM for me or anyone I was playing with (24 balls played). But, I did get a couple during practice before the tourney, so it may be cyclical.

I also own RBION and mine has never ejected SDTM (always feeds nicely to the left flipper). It might be that the one you (we?) played at the tourney needs a VUK rebuild or the scoop weldment is cracked. I'll bring it up with the owner next time I see him.

Ha yes...he will actually say " Hey, shoot the right ramp." And there's an orange lock insert that will be lit in front of said ramp

Every time you activate a lit shot on the head, the magnet should hold the ball while he says something or animation happens, and then the ball is thrown up backwards behind him to the pops.

When the idol is lit, you should see the bright red opto beam by the idol. Go into the menu and test to see if the opto is registering in switch test using a ball. You can also use the portal (menu) and press the "play" feature and it will activate everything just like a game is being played. So you can test the idol & magnet freely. <---make sure coin door is shut or coils/magnets will not activate.

Jackpot are fun and all, but RBION is all aboot the super jacks...and having the correct one lit when hitting it...and hopefully starting 2X scoring in MB. Diff'rence betwixed a 1 mill SJ & 6 mill SJ in that game is huge. Very sys11 that way which is cool.

After the game ends on Rbion and you have two balls in the lock should they clear? Mine will clear them when I turn on the machine if some are in the lock but they will stay in between games? Is there a setting? Seemed like are Simpsons pinball party would keep them on the couch and we were able to switch it to clear after each game
