Both in mint condition..
Are you suggesting I need different options?
Quoted from bellbrand:Are you suggesting I need different options?
no, Im suggesting Popeye isnt an option at all comparatively.
Its like asking what you should get, a steak dinner or a white castle slider.

That's funny...I really enjoyed ripley's when I played it a couple of days ago..popeye was a cheaper option so I was just making sure I was making the right decision
Rbion isn't that great either. There is too much shoot both ramps in too many modes. Popeye actually has more interesting things to do, however, has many bad flaws that need to be fixed, and the theme is just so crappy, it's hard to get by. Read my reviews for more in depth notes on Popeye.
I would say discard both and look for something else.

Well I am in that price range where this isn't much that wow's me.. I have never owned either one of these games so thought I would try one out..
Glad for any suggestions??
Quoted from Jetzxi:RBION by a land slide but I am biased.
You aren't biased its a solid title..
I didn't give this game much thought when it came out I wished I had would have cost me less.
Quoted from PEN:RBION did not get much love for a long time, now people are considering it a great game. This will not happen with Popeye, mark my words.
Words marked
Thanks
A roller skating penquin........ How Amazing!........ I played RBION at MGC a year and a half ago, I liked it so much I went out looking for one right away. Found it at an auction in WI and picked it up. The machine was very clean although the batteries were leaking so we had to do a tiny bit of board work (ic socket). Then at MGC this year I decided I wanted a StarGate, took me about three months but I found one and am happy with it as well. Maybe I need to stay away from MGC next year!
Quoted from Max_Badazz:I had a Popeye for 6 months and sold it.
6-months , You Must've Loved it.. ,,
Why close thread? People are discussing the attributes and would like a chance to respond. What happened?

I am still intrigued by popeye and may add it to my collection someday..but RBION won out this time..

I wouldn't recommend it early on, as there is a crap load of tweaking required on it to even make it playable. It could have been better, and should have been, but I believe it was allowed to slip through the usual b/w system for quality control.

what do you mean early on?
popeye is considered a horrible pinball title. it earned that reputation.
rbion also sucks. but it's a B title to Popeys's D-.
Popeye is a great title, it has a WPC DCS boardset and a bunch of non game specific parts you can use.
