I have wanted one of these since I played one at the beach a couple years ago in a bar. It is finally mine! I just appeared out of nowhere in my basement. Can you believe that???
It had a weird issue when I bought it... it was blowing the Q11 and Q12 transistors as soon as you closed the coin door to enable the high voltage. I had the board looked at and it tested out fine after replacing the blown transistors.... brought it home and blew them out again. After lots of testing, I found that it was actually bad coils that were blowing both transistors. This is the first time I have experienced a bad coil... and it was TWO bad ones... weird. But glad it wasn't something expensive to fix. IT was a gamble, but hey, I really wanted the machine and I was up for a challenge if necessary... that is all part of the fun!
Anyway, the machine is up and running 100% and it is time to SHOP! Here are a few pics. The playfield is actually in GREAT shape underneath all of the typical unshopped pin dandruff...
